Connect Salonify Payments

Salonify Payments is the payment processor behind every card transaction in Salonify — both online bookings and the in-person card terminal. Until Salonify Payments is connected and verified, you can take cash but no card payments at all. Connecting it once unlocks online checkout, the POS card reader and Tap to Pay in a single step, and is the most important thing to do before your first paid booking.

Enable online payment

Once Salonify Payments is connected, online payment lets customers pay (or leave a deposit) by card while they book — money lands before they ever walk in. You decide whether paying online is optional or required, which directly affects your no-show rate and cash flow.

Deposits per service

A deposit asks the customer to prepay part of a service's price at the moment of booking, with the balance collected in person. Deposits dramatically reduce no-shows on long or expensive treatments and protect the chair time you'd otherwise lose. You set them per service, so quick low-value visits stay friction-free.

Payouts & refunds

Payouts are how your collected card balance reaches your bank account; refunds send money back to a customer. Both run through Salonify Payments, so payouts follow a rolling schedule you control in your Salonify Payments dashboard, and refunds always return to the original card automatically.

Cancellation & no-show fee policy

Your cancellation policy defines what happens when a customer cancels late or simply doesn't show up. With a card on file, Salonify can automatically keep a deposit or charge a fee, so a missed appointment doesn't mean lost income. You set a salon-wide default and can tighten it per service.

In-person payments: POS app & web register

Take payment right at the chair with Salonify POS, which comes in two flavours: the mobile POS app (iPhone & Android) and the web register at pos.salonify.eu that runs in any browser on a computer or tablet. Both share the same catalogue, customers, sessions and reporting, so you can ring up a sale on whichever device is closest. Accept card — including Tap to Pay on iPhone and Tap to Pay on Android with no extra hardware — as well as cash, and every sale is recorded against an open register session for clean end-of-day accounting.

Register sessions & cash drawer

A register session is the bookkeeping envelope around a day (or a shift) of sales. You open it with a starting cash float, sales and refunds adjust the drawer through the day, and at close you count the cash so Salonify can flag any difference. This is what makes your cash accountable and your daily report trustworthy.

Digital receipts & POS refunds

Every POS transaction can issue a digital receipt by email or SMS, so you skip paper and the customer keeps a record. When something needs reversing, you refund the sale directly from its transaction — card refunds go back to the same card with no re-tap required.

Transaction fees

Card payments carry a single bundled transaction fee per successful charge — there's no separate terminal rental or hidden gateway cost. Cash is always free. Knowing the fee helps you price services and decide where deposits are worthwhile.

Daily report & accountant export

The daily report (a Z-report) closes out your trading day exactly the way a bookkeeper expects: gross sales → voids → refunds → net, with VAT split by rate and the payment mix broken down by card brand and cash. You can export it as Excel-friendly CSV or a print-ready PDF with the full transaction list, making month-end handover effortless.

Services & pricing

Build your menu: services, variants, add-ons, deposits and VAT.

Creating services

Services are the building blocks of your booking page and calendar. Each one has a name, a price and a duration — and that duration is what blocks calendar time, so getting it right (including cleanup) keeps your day from over-booking.

Variants & add-ons

Variants and add-ons let one service flex to the real world. Variants handle the same treatment at different prices (short vs long hair); add-ons are optional extras a customer ticks at checkout — each carrying its own price and time, which keeps your menu compact while still being precise.

Deposits & online-bookability

Per service you control two things: whether a deposit is required, and whether customers can book it instantly online or must send a request first. Marking complex treatments as contact-only lets you vet them before committing calendar time, while everyday services stay instantly bookable.

Per-service cancellation policy

Not every service deserves the same cancellation terms. A two-hour colour correction is far costlier to lose than a 15-minute fringe trim, so Salonify lets you override the salon-wide policy on individual services with a longer notice window or a larger fee.

Categories

Categories group your services (Hair, Colour, Nails…) so the booking page stays scannable and customers find what they want fast. The order matters too — putting bestsellers up top nudges customers toward your most profitable treatments.

VAT

Setting the right VAT rate per service keeps your prices, receipts and invoices tax-correct and your accountant happy. Local default rates are pre-filled, but you can override any item — useful when products and services carry different rates.

Customers & growth

Keep clients coming back with reviews, loyalty, gift cards and more.

Customers list

Every client you serve is saved with their full booking and purchase history plus your private notes. It's a lightweight CRM that lets you recognise regulars, recall preferences and personalise the next visit — the foundation of repeat business.

Reviews

After an appointment, customers can leave a review that appears on your public page. Reviews are social proof that builds trust and lifts conversion — and replying to them, good or bad, shows future customers you listen.

Loyalty

A loyalty program rewards repeat visits — customers earn points on bookings and POS sales and redeem them for discounts. It's one of the cheapest ways to lift retention, giving clients a reason to come back to you instead of trying the salon down the street.

Gift cards

Sell gift cards online and in the POS, and let customers redeem the balance against bookings or products. They're prepaid revenue you bank today, and a reliable boost around holidays and birthdays when people buy beauty as a present.

Coupons

Coupon codes power your promotions — percentage or fixed discounts with usage limits and expiry dates. Customers enter them at online checkout, or you apply them in the POS, making it easy to run a campaign without discounting your whole menu.

Memberships

Memberships turn one-off clients into recurring revenue: they pay monthly for a bundle of services or perks. It's predictable income for you and a committed routine for them — ideal for maintenance services like regular blow-dries or nail fills.

Bundles

A bundle packages several services or sessions into one fixed price — a course of treatments, a pamper package. Bundles lift your average spend and pre-sell future visits, locking in the client's next few appointments today.

Special events

Host workshops, classes or themed days as special events. They appear in public discovery, so customers can find, sign up for and participate in them — a powerful way to reach new clients beyond your usual booking page.

Marketing & SMS

Reach clients directly with SMS campaigns and automated reminders. Campaigns fill quiet days and win back lapsed customers; reminders cut no-shows — both turn your existing client list into bookings without paying for new ads.

Settings & account

Business info, payment methods, integrations, devices and your plan.
