Cancellation & no-show fee policy
Your cancellation policy defines what happens when a customer cancels late or simply doesn't show up. With a card on file, Salonify can automatically keep a deposit or charge a fee, so a missed appointment doesn't mean lost income. You set a salon-wide default and can tighten it per service.
How to set it up
- 1
Open Settings → Payments
Scroll to the Cancellation policy section.
- 2
Set your notice window
Choose how many hours before the appointment a free cancellation is allowed (e.g. 24h). Cancellations inside that window trigger your fee.
- 3
Choose the consequence
Decide whether to keep the deposit, or charge a fixed/percentage fee to the card on file. No-shows can carry the same or a stronger penalty.
- 4
Override per service if needed
On individual high-value services, set a stricter policy in the service editor — it overrides the salon default.
